1.     What data do we collect?

HR Option collects the following data:

  • CV
  • Personal identification information
  • Professional experience
  • Photographs
  • Education and qualifications, languages
  • Demonstrated skills
  • Interview notes, recordings and transcripts
  • Social activities
  • Remuneration details
  • Reference information
  • Letter(s) of application
  • Contact history
  • Details of your employment and development preferences
  • As well as any other information and responses you may provide through assessment measures or surveys

2.     How do we collect your data?

You provide HR Option directly with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when:

  • You apply for a job online or during a discussion with HR Option
  • We contact you to discuss career opportunities
  • You voluntarily respond to a customer survey or provide feedback on one of our emails
  • You use or consult our website via your browser's cookies
  • We identify you through publicly available sources, your professional network profile, news reports and/or third parties such as our clients, professional partners, sources/arbitrators and/or our authorized background check providers

3.     How will we use your data?

HR Option collects your data so that we can:

  • Provide our services and maintain our commercial relationship with you
  • Contact you about an assignment
  • Check the details of your profile
  • Identify, assess and evaluate candidates, and/or present our ideas, analyses or reports to our clients
  • Share marketing and promotional material, including our newsletter
  • Invite you to a sector and/or role specific event
  • Maintain business records, including those relating to our services
  • With your explicit consent, HR Option will share your data with our partner companies so that they can offer you their products and services such as: background checks, including verification of educational or professional qualifications
  • Security processes, document storage, maintenance of our systems and infrastructure, data analysis, benchmarking, statistics, determining the effectiveness of our services.

4.     How do we store your data?

HR Option securely stores your data in our database, which is accessible from our offices in Switzerland.

HR Option will keep your data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed and according to the nature of our relationship with you. Once this period has expired, we will delete your data by deleting your profile from our database.

5.     Marketing

HR Option would like to send you information about our products and services that may be of interest to you. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you can always unsubscribe at a later date. You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes or sharing your data with third parties.

6.     What are your rights in terms of data protection?

The right of access - You have the right to ask HR Option for copies of your personal data.

The right of rectification - You have the right to ask HR Option to correct any information that you consider inaccurate. You also have the right to ask HR Option to complete any information that you consider incomplete.

The right to erasure - You have the right to ask HR Option to erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing - You have the right to ask HR Option to restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by HR Option, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability - You have the right to ask HR Option to transfer the data we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
